I’m doing so much research on Marilyn today that I thought I’d share a picture of me paying tribute to her.

Hi everyone!!

I love to wear the retro/vintage/ pin up look in my everyday life. And I always try to make it authentic as possible. One day while doing some research I found out that the cosmetics company Revlon still makes lipsticks today that they made in the 1950’s and early 1960’s!! So I came across a list of the names of the colors and went SHOPPING!

I’ve collected all the Reds that they still make and this is what this video is about. I do plan on getting the rest of the Pinks and Corals as soon as I can.

You can purchase these items at any store that carries Revlon. But I’ve found that the prices very from $4 to $9 so shop around to get the best price.

Here is the list of names and their original release dates:

1950 Stormy Pink
1951 Love that Red
1951 Certainly Red
1952 Fire and Ice
1953 Cherries in the Snow
1955 Love that Pink
1956 Hot Coral
1956 Luminous Pink
1957 Persian Melon
1962 Blase Apricot

I hope you enjoyed this, and Happy Shopping!! ^_^

Hey there, so I wanted to start my make up tutorials out with a traditional 1940’s look. This look should take you 10 minutes from primer to lipstick so it is wonderful if you don’t have any time in the morning. I’m sorry the video was a little long, this is my first time so I’m sure I’ll get better.

**CORRECTION** I said two things wrong, I said they never really used brown liner in the 40’s, I meant to say black, and I said that my top lip was larger, I meant smaller, sorry I guess I was nervous about the time***

Products used:

Silicone based primer
Make up Forever Matte Velvet in #15
Bobbi Brown corrector and concealer in “light bisque” and “warm ivory”
YSL Touche Eclat in 0
Laura Mercier setting powder and puff
Benefit 10 brozer and highlighter
Bobbi Brown blush in Desert Pink
Avon True color “mocha latte” quad
Benefit High brow
Benefit Bad Gal eyeliner
Maybelline The Falsies Volume Express Flared mascara
MAC Matte lipstick in Ruby Woo

I hope you love this look, any suggestions on other eras please ask ^_^
